About Dan

Web developer by day, I’m a self proclaimed Flash addict by night who can’t get enough of building little Flash apps just because they look cool.
I have a pretty piece of paper that says I’ve achieved an Honours Degree in Multimedia, but my greatest industry achievement would have to be winning the ‘MochiAds - Become a Rockstar’ comp in early 2008. Our game “Captain Skyro” is the first independent game myself and Brian Neong San (Graphic designer) have completed, and with the judges’ votes I suppose it shows we’re doing something right.
I’m currently a Senior Web Developer at Bullseye in North Sydney, where I fill my day with front-end web development and the odd bit of Flash if I’m lucky. My side work is where I get to remind myself why I got in this industry to start with, renewing my passion for building something that has the ‘wow’ factor, where the key objective is to make something the best it can be rather than whacking things together to meet a deadline.
With all the time in front of a screen I strive to obtain some balance in my life, getting outside for a ride on my Scott mountain bike, juggling the soccerball (football for the purists) or a dip at the beach. When that fails I at least get out the Wii Fit to pretend I’m doing exercise. That aside I just like chillin’ with my girlfriend Sionen, watching movies and ridiculous tv series marathons.
So that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. Check out my work and let me know what you think.
